What is the European standard EN131 / 6 2019

It is the specific optional standard for ultra-compact telescopic ladders that has just been approved and will come into force shortly.

Tests on the tightness of the safety elements (hooks), on the safety of the operator during controlled closing (spaces between the rungs or friction), on the vertical range of the ladder and rungs, on the sliding resistance of the base feet.

Additional ladder fall tests and presence of the oversized spreader have been added compared to the previous standards.

Passing these tests is difficult and possible only with a very high quality product.
