What is the European standard EN131/6 2019
It is the optional standard specifically for ultra-compact telescopic ladders that has just been approved and will come into force soon. 
Tests on the tightness of the safety elements (hooks), on the safety of the operator during controlled closing (spaces between the rungs or friction), on the vertical capacity of the ladder and rungs, on the resistance to slipping of the base feet. 
Additional ladder drop tests and the presence of the increased widener have been added compared to the previous standards. 
Passing these tests is difficult and possible only with a very high quality product.
