EUROPEAN STANDARD CEI EN 50528:
The V2 fiberglass ladder complies with Standard EN 50528 which concerns ladders used for work on low voltage live parts such as making connections, work on supports and switching operations.
These ladders are also used for preliminary operations for live work such as checking the voltage, earthing and short-circuiting, etc.
The purpose of this Standard is to provide ladders that have two main functions: access to the parts of the system on which work must be done and protect the worker from electrical risks by providing the level of insulation and maintaining a safety distance between the operator and the potentially live parts of the system.
It concerns insulating ladders for use on low voltage systems or in their proximity.
This Standard, which complies with EN 61477, must be used in accordance with Standards EN 50110-1 and EN 50110-2.
This Standard is published by CEI in English only as it is particularly aimed at specialized sectors.
This Standard remains applicable until 29-04-2027.
The tests are carried out with an electric charge of 36,000 Volts for one minute.
